Terms of Service

Effective October 1, 2026 · Version 2026-10-01

These terms form an agreement between you and ProsePal LLC, the operator of LoreBinders ("we," "us"). Our service analyzes manuscripts to generate Story Bibles and is intended for the United States market. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

1. Acceptance and eligibility

When you create an account, you must affirmatively accept these terms and confirm that you have reached the legal minimum age and have capacity to enter contracts independently under the law that applies to you. Keep your credentials secure and provide an accurate account email. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account.

2. Credits and ordinary purchase refunds

Credits pay for generation runs. We show the credit cost before you start a run. Credits do not expire. Failed generation runs automatically return the credits charged for that run to your balance; this is a credit restoration, not a cash refund.

Within 30 days of purchase, you can refund an entire credit purchase from your account page if that specific purchase is entirely unused. Having enough credits from other purchases does not make a used purchase eligible. The refund goes to the original payment method, and the corresponding credits are removed. Each purchase can be refunded only once. This ordinary whole-purchase refund is separate from the account-closure refund below. Contact us for other refund requests; any additional discretionary refund does not limit refunds required by law.

3. Account closure and unused paid credits

You may close your account from your account page or request help through our contact form. A closure request stops new generation runs. We settle the refund of your remaining unused paid credits before completing deletion. If a refund is pending with the payment provider, closure can remain pending until that refund is resolved.

On closure, unused paid credits are refunded at their pro rata original bundle purchase price: the amount originally paid for a bundle divided by the paid credits in that bundle, multiplied by its unused paid credits, rounded to the nearest cent. Paid-credit usage is allocated to the oldest paid purchases first (first in, first out), so that allocation determines each bundle's unused paid credits. This closure refund has no 30-day purchase limit. Free or promotional credits have no monetary value and are not refundable. Credits are not transferable, redeemable for cash outside these refund provisions, or a bank deposit. The same paid credits cannot be refunded twice.

When closure completes, we delete the account and its manuscripts, analysis, outputs, and operational records from active systems, subject only to the narrow legally required financial-record exception and residual provider backup or log retention described in our Privacy Policy. Download results you want to keep before requesting closure.

4. Your content, confidentiality, and output rights

You retain ownership of your manuscripts and other inputs. You must own or have sufficient rights and permissions to submit them for processing. You grant us a limited, nonexclusive license to host, copy, process, and transmit your inputs solely to provide the service to you, including necessary processing by service providers. This is not permission to publish your work, market with it, train models on it, or sell, rent, or license your data.

We keep your manuscripts, analysis, and outputs confidential, with access limited to providing and securing the service, support you request, and legally binding disclosure requirements. We use zero data retention inference routes, and neither we nor inference providers use your inputs or outputs for model training. We do not sell, rent, or license any user data, including aggregate or deidentified data, and do not use it for marketing.

To the extent we have any rights in the outputs generated for you, we assign those rights to you. You may use, edit, publish, and transfer those output rights. This assignment does not grant rights in another person's content, guarantee originality, or guarantee that AI-generated output qualifies for copyright protection. You remain responsible for checking third-party rights before publication or other use.

5. AI limitations and your review

AI analysis can omit manuscript details, merge distinct characters or places, misattribute events or traits, or invent unsupported details. Generated Story Bibles are aids for your work and require human review against the manuscript. Check accuracy and completeness before relying on, sharing, or publishing a result. We do not guarantee that a run will capture every entity or produce the same output each time.

6. Acceptable use

You may submit lawful fiction, including fictional violence, crime, and mature themes. Fictional depiction alone is not prohibited. You must not use the service to violate law, infringe others' rights, submit material you lack permission to process, exploit children, disclose private information unlawfully, distribute malware, or threaten or facilitate real-world harm. Do not bypass security, abuse accounts or refunds, or interfere with the service or other users.

We may restrict or suspend access for a breach of these terms, unlawful activity, or a security threat, and may discontinue the service. Where practicable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue. If we close your account, the unused paid-credit refund and deletion provisions still apply; suspension or closure does not forfeit your refundable paid credits.

7. Warranties and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service and generated outputs are provided "as is" and "as available," without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or noninfringement. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service. Nothing here excludes a warranty or remedy that the law does not allow us to exclude.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, neither party is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from this agreement. Our total liability for claims arising from the service or these terms is limited to the greater of $100 or the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

These exclusions and limits do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Our obligation to refund unused paid credits on closure, and any other refund required by these terms or law, is separate from and is not reduced by the liability cap.

8. Governing law and disputes

Colorado law governs these terms, subject to mandatory consumer protections under the law that applies to you. Disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts in Colorado, unless mandatory law gives you a right to a different forum. These terms do not require arbitration or waive nonwaivable consumer rights.

9. Future changes and contact

For future material changes, we will provide notice through the service or your account email before they take effect, with the updated effective date and version. Changes will not retroactively remove accrued refund rights or expand our rights to process content you already submitted. If further acceptance is required by law, we will request it.
